Garmin has just released the next public beta version (version 18.09) for several of its high-end watch models, introducing features that will go live with the Q3 software update. This update is available for the following watch models: Fenix 7 and 7 Pro, Epix 2 and Epix 2 Pro, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2.

New Features:

  • Added “Dark Mode” to map color.
  • Added “Popularity” toggle to map settings.
  • Added Garmin Share app. Share courses, waypoints, workouts, and more with other nearby Garmin devices.

There were also other minor fixes and improvements. While there are only three new features in this release, Garmin often reserves significant new software features and updates for their latest hardware launches. As such, we may be expecting a slew of new software features with the rumored launch of the Fenix 8, initially exclusive to the new releases, and eventually trickling down to some older models.
