Fenix 8

As we gear up for Garmin’s next major release, which is expected to launch by the end of August, we’ve compiled all the key information and leaks surrounding the upcoming Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro 3 models. Here’s a comprehensive look at what we know, including a timeline of events.

Timeline of Key Events

  • July 3, 2024: The first significant leak occurred when the Garmin Fenix 8 series, along with a new model called the Fenix E, were briefly listed on the Finnish retail website multitronic.fi. This early listing provided the first hint of what was to come.
  • July 10, 2024: A second leak surfaced from an Icelandic authorized Garmin retailer’s website, garminbudin.is. This listing provided more detailed insights, including SKUs and mentions of AMOLED screens for some Fenix models. This reinforced speculation that the Fenix line might adopt OLED displays, potentially replacing the Epix line.
  • August 14, 2024: Garmin officially confirmed the Fenix 8 series with the release of UK and EU Declarations of Conformity. The documents specifically mentioned the AMOLED model and included model numbers, such as A04806 for the Fenix 8-47mm AMOLED, confirming the long-rumored OLED display.
  • August 15, 2024: The first images of the Fenix 8 series were leaked via WinFuture. These images revealed three product ranges: Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro 3. While it was initially speculated that the Enduro line might merge with the Fenix series, it was confirmed that the Enduro 3 would remain a distinct model.
