Garmin has just posted a teaser on their official X account for the Fenix 8 series. The brief, five-second video is deliberately out of focus, but viewers can catch glimpses of various athletes—a swimmer, a biker, and a runner—flashing across the screen. Notably, the video also features an infinity symbol that fades in and out, which almost certainly is a play on the number 8 when turned sideways.

While the Fenix 8 launch is hardly a secret anymore, with several units already sold over the weekend, the biggest surprise is Garmin’s decision to unveil this product via a live stream—something they have not done before. Garmin has traditionally relied on press releases posted in their newsroom to announce new devices.

Garmin has listed the live stream start time as 1PM CET (Central European Time), but the countdown timer aligns with 1PM ET (Eastern Time), so this is likely an error on their end.
