A recent post on Reddit, shared by zouaghia in the GarminWatches community, shows what appears to be leaked images of the highly anticipated Garmin Instinct 3. The images display both the front and back of the watch.

Despite having a different-looking design than prior Instinct versions, the front of the watch features some familiar Garmin design elements, such as the “Solar” label at the bottom, the monochrome display, and the circular cut-out—a signature feature of all previous versions of the Instinct.

The back of the watch clearly displays the text “Instinct 3” and features a sticker covering the heart rate sensor with Chinese writing that translates to “Confidential Prototype, Shipping Forbidden.” This indicates that the device is likely a prototype and not the final product. Despite the sticker covering the back, Garmin would almost certainly use their latest Elevate 5 HR sensor. Additionally, there is the presence of the same four-pin connector, which Garmin uses across almost all their watches.

Skeptics of this leak have pointed out that the area where the strap connects to the watch body appears much longer in the back photo compared to the front. Even if the leak is real, this design might not represent the final product that will be released, and it is clear that this unit was not intended to be shared with the public.
